People always ask, “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?” And honestly, I love when this question comes up — because I already have my answer. I already have a superpower. I get to freeze time. With a camera in my hands, I can capture a moment — a laugh, a tear, a quiet glance — and turn it into something you can hold onto forever. That’s pretty magical if you ask me.

 

My super power story started back in my freshman year of high school — the moment I picked up a camera. I joined my school’s yearbook class and after just one year, I became the editor, fully immersed in capturing the moments that mattered most. After graduating high school in 2019, I headed to the University of Iowa to study Enterprise Leadership and continued chasing my passion behind the lens.

In 2021, I joined The Daily Iowan as a university photographer, covering everything from high-energy sports games to fine arts performances and campus events. Then in the summer of 2022, I took on a role photographing weddings with All In One Bridal — an unforgettable experience that deepened my love for storytelling through images.
 

During my time at Iowa, I also became heavily involved in Women in Business. I was honored to serve as the Marketing Director for the Women’s Business Connection Leadership Conference and was elected VP of Public Relations — experiences that pushed my creativity and leadership in new ways.

After graduation, I moved to the Des Moines area where I now work full-time in marketing while continuing photography wherever and whenever I can. I absolutely love the balance I’ve found, and one day, I hope to make photography my full-time gig. Until then, I’m here capturing joy, connection, and all the beautiful in-between moments.
